Sarah Willis, LCSW

Sarah received her B.S. degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University. Shortly thereafter, she received license to practice as a Social Worker in New York State.

At Samaritan Counseling Center, Sarah practices her passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families on emotional and behavioral issues including depression and anxiety and social and academic struggles. Sarah is also enthusiastic about providing the necessary support for individuals and couples experiencing marital stress, anxiety, depression, life changes, and family crisis.

In addition to her work with the Center, Sarah completed a semester of fieldwork at Bailey Avenue Elementary School. During that time she facilitated a group for children of separated and divorced parents, teaching them social skills and working with their families to create a more structured environment that would help the child become successful in school and life.
Sarah also spent time practicing play therapy at the START Children’s Center of Rennselaer County, working to help alleviate trauma to child and adolescent survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
