Sarah Willis received her bachelor of science in psychology from Plattsburgh State University.  From there she went on to pursue a master of social work degree from Adelphi University, which she completed in 2007.

As an undergrad Sarah interned at Bailey Avenue Elementary School in Plattsburgh, New York.  Working in conjunction with the school counselor, school psychologist, and teachers she aided in the development of behavioral plans, the facilitation of support groups for children of divorced families, and the teaching of wellness classes to kindergarten through second graders.

As a graduate social work student Sarah interned at The START Children’s Center of Rensselaer County, working to alleviate trauma to child survivors and their family’s of domestic violence and sexual abuse.    In her final year of field study Sarah became a psychotherapy intern at The Samaritan Counseling Center of the Capital Region.  After the completion of her degree Sarah continued at Samaritan as a psychotherapy resident.  At this time she is apart of Public Relations team, project PASS and project recovery teams.
