Rebecca Draffen-Grande, LCSW
 Rebecca Draffen-Grande, LCSW joined Samaritan in June 2010. Becky is a Social Worker with over twenty years of experience in various areas of Social Work. She graduated from Russell Sage College and spent 10 years working in college residence, mental health and social services before making the decision to go back to school and pursue a Master of Social Work degree.
Upon graduation in 1989, Becky began working at Child Guidance Center where she received training in family therapy as part of the family therapy training team, which utilized live supervision and consultation. After several years, an opportunity arose to work for New York State at the Capital District Psychiatric Center outpatient clinic for adults in Troy, New York while the clinic transitioned to administration by Samaritan Hospital. She remained with CDPC transitioning to Skenen House working with adolescents in crisis.
With the arrival of her first child, Becky wanted to work part time and returned to Child Guidance where she became the Family Support Services Coordinator and had a small counseling caseload. Becky remained at Child Guidance until the birth of her second child. When her daughter was 8 months old and opportunity arose to join the staff at Scotia- Glenville Middle School as their first School Social Worker. She spent seven years working part -time at Scotia -Glenville. She returned to Child Guidance as a full time staff member when her second child entered school. After several years Becky went back to School Social Work for three years at the former International Charter School and then for Schenectady City Schools. Although Becky's tenure working as a School Social Worker was rewarding and provided her with a good deal of useful experience, she is at heart a Clinical Social Worker and is very happy to be at Samaritan Counseling Center where she can use her knowledge and background in her work with adolescents, couples and individuals.
Becky lives with her husband and her two teenage daughters in Glenville.
