Justin Reimenschneider, LMSW

Justin Reimenschneider received his Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology, Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 2002, where he minored in Philosophy. After traveling through Europe, Justin went on to obtain his Masters degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2006.

During that time his field work included serving as a pre-school social work intern with the Circle of Friends’ early-intervention program, and an internship as a school social worker with the Maywood School, part of the Capital Region B.O.C.E.S. program, working with at-risk adolescents.  For his final year of field training, he obtained a psychotherapy internship at Samaritan Counseling Center in Scotia, NY.  He continued on at Samaritan after graduation pursuing residency training in psychotherapy.

Justin's psychotherapeutic work has focused on individuals, couples and families. He is currently part of the Project Recovery Team at Samaritan focusing on trauma survivors, and has co-facilitated a group focusing on Coping with Depression. His work with children, families and schools continues through Project PASS, and his work with couples continues through the Couple’s Clinic Team.

Justin is the primary therapist for Samaritan in their downtown Albany site, as well as offering hours in North Greenbush, Averill Park High School, and Scotia.  Justin continues to pursue his training in Object-Relations Psychotherapy and to expand his pursuits in work with sexual orientation issues, former substance abuse, adolescents, and relationship difficulties.
