Samaritan Counseling Center of the Capital Region

 

Alyson Brener, LMFT

Alyson Brener received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brandeis University in 2001.  She received her second Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science, Magna Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 2003. 

Alyson received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, Summa Cum Laude, from Hofstra University in 2007.  While completing her Master degree, she interned at the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Capital Region in Scotia, New York, where she saw individuals, couples, and families, and at the Astor Services for Children’s Counseling Center in Red Hook, New York, where she saw children and families.  During the fall of 2007, Alyson was the student representative for the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. 

Alyson is currently continuing at Samaritan Counseling Center as a resident.  She continues to be part of the Couples Clinic Team, as well as Project PASS, focusing on children and families.
